Babcock Trucking History

Walker and Green Trucking Company began in 1935 as an internal transportation division for Northwest Distributors Corporation, a roofing wholesale distributor in Washington State. With a growing base of businesses, W&G expanded its services in 1952 to provide independent transportation services to a broader range of construction related industries.

In 1983, W&G acquired Midland Trucking, which handled fuel and heavy haul trucking throughout the South Central United States. By 1997, W&G’s revenues skyrocketed and we established ourselves as the clear leader in the fuel transport, heavy, and over-dimensional trucking industry.
